Q: How do I reduce the junk mail in my Rejected Mails folder?
A: By default ZAPaSPAM will save unwanted e-mails for 30 days. You can reduce the number of days that you want to keep unwanted e-mails in this folder. This will help to limit the number of unwanted e-mails. You can also manually delete any e-mails message that you have viewed and do not want to keep.
Q: What is the purpose of the automated Undeliverable Notice? And how does it work?
A: When activated, the purpose of the automated undeliverable notice is to notify the unauthorized sender that their message did not reach you and allows them to reply to request for an authorization code.
Most unwanted e-mail is sent by an automated process using a fake e-mail address as most spammers do not want to leave a trace back to themselves. As a result, this undeliverable notice is never seen by most spammers.
In contrast, legitimate senders will be able to receive this notice and by simply replying to this notice they will be requesting for an authorization code from you.
Q: What is the "Secured Mode" feature, and how does it work?
A: When the secured mode feature is activated, only messages that contain the issued authorization code will be passed to your Inbox. All others will be passed to the "Rejected Mails" folder.
Q: My ISP offer spam-filtering feature, how would this affect ZAPaSPAM?
A: Most companies offer some spam blocking or filtering service, we believe that this filtering technique does NOT work. It often ends up blocking legitimate e-mail from reaching you. We would suggest that you disable this feature if it is offered to you, and allow ZAPaSPAM to fully protect your e-mails.
Q: How come when I changed the "language" selection, it only changes the tool bar and the menu and NOT the contents of the notice text?
A: Once you changed the language, you have to press the "Reset" button so it will reset the message text to that particular language, and then you press "Save" and then "Close". You must press "Reset" for each of the message text (i.e. Undeliverable Notice & Authorization Code Issued Notice)
