Rejected Mail & Black List

Q: After I created new rules in Outlook or Outlook Express, how come I receive unwanted mails in the new rule's folder?
A: You must restart Outlook or Outlook Express after any new rules are created, this way ZAPaSPAM will protect and validate all new rules.

Q: What is the "# Rejected Mail" folder?
A: All incoming e-mail messages that have not been authorized will be saved in the "Rejected Mail" folder. This will give you a chance to review these e-mail to see if any of them are coming from some one you know but have not add them to your White List or have not issue them an authorization code.

Q: I added a legitimate e-mail address to the Black List by mistake. How can I undo it?
A: From the Setup Options menu press the "Black List" button and then select the e-mail address that you want to remove from the Black List and press the "Remove" button.

Q: What's the difference between rejected e-mails versus black list e-mails?
A: ZAPaSPAM is a permission based system, which means that ZAPaSPAM assumes that all incoming e-mail messages are unwanted e-mail unless they have been authorized. ZAPaSPAM automatically approves e-mail messages from individuals on your White List or individuals who have been issued an authorization code. All other messages will be sent to the Rejected Mails folder.

By default, rejected mail are kept for 30 days allowing you time to review the message and determine if you want to add this sender to your White List or Black List.

E-mail messages from individuals on your Black List will NOT appear in your Outlook. ZAPaSPAM automatically ZAP these messages from the system so that inappropriate material will not be seen on your computer (i.e. Message contains inappropriate contents or photo image).
