Each day the stories on the nightly news bring sadness and anger. We hear stories about children being victimized by adults. We hear about people from all walks of life and income brackets being implicated in sexual exploitation of children. While this is cowardly enough, most engage in this practice from behind the veil of the internet chat room.

With increasing frequency, we hear the horror stories. Looking for tools to protect your children, we have been incredibly disappointed. The choices are limited and the claims of protection are easily circumvented.

As we see the proliferation of Instant Messaging and social network sites sweep the land, we decided that these technologies posed the most danger to children being exposed to strangers. We decided to do something to protect the children. This is why we created Safe Chat Universal Messenger.

• Prevents the child from receiving foul language in a chat session with a built-in list of prohibited word and phrases, which is easily customizable by the parent. Any language that is contained in the list will show as *****, while the rest of the phrase will be visible.
• Prevents the child from visiting known dangerous chat websites via built-in list of prohibited sites, which is easily customizable by the parent
• Prevents the child from circumventing the Safe Chat protection set by the parent by automatically shutting down attempts to launch or load other chat software applications
• Notifies the parent via email each time a child logs in or attempts to log into Safe Chat
• Notifies the parent via email anytime someone attempts to enter a password and change parental control settings
• We even built in a provision to allow the parent to continue working on that computer without interference by clicking an icon in the system tray and temporarily suspending the program. Restarting the protection is a mouse-click away.
