To protect your children, by default we TURN ON the “child protection” function when you install Safe Chat.
If you are using the same computer as your child, you can simply disable this function when you are using the computer, so that you can use Instant Messengers for yourself or you can access other websites for emailing or chatting or surfing, etc…
There are 2 ways to turn ON or OFF this function.
1)
If
Safe Chat is running,
you will see our GREEN Safe Chat
logo on the bottom right hand corner of your computer (in the systray
area).

The
GREEN
color indicates
that the Safe
Chat “child protection” function is ON. To turn OFF this “child
protection” function, simply “RIGHT CLICK” on the icon.
You will see a list of menu that you can select from.

Select the “Stop Safe Chat Control” to turn OFF the “child protection”
function.
As a safeguard for your children, you will be asked to provide the
“parental control” password to turn this OFF.

Enter your password here. And then press OK. If you have not set up
your “parental control” password yet, then by default the password is
BLANK.
Leave this field empty and just press OK. You will see a confirmation
screen that will tell you that you have successfully deactivate this
"child protection" function.

You will notice that our Safe Chat logo in the systray area is now
ORANGE, indicating that the "child protection"
function is now OFF.

You can now use the computer as if Safe Chat was NOT installed. Please
remember to re-enable
this “child protection” function again when you are done using the
computer to continue protecting your child!
To turn this “child protection” function back ON, simply “RIGHT CLICK”
on the
ORANGE
Safe Chat icon, and then select “Start Safe Chat Control”.
You will see a confirmation screen to let you know that Safe Chat "child
protection" function is now ON.

and you will also notice that the Safe Chat logo is now
GREEN.
2)
If
Safe Chat is NOT
running,
you will see our
GREEN
round icon with a “check” on the bottom right hand corner of your
computer (in the systray area).

The
GREEN
color indicates
that the Safe
Chat “child protection” function is ON, even when the Safe Chat
application is not active. To turn OFF this “child protection”
function, simply “RIGHT CLICK” on the icon.
You will see a list of menu that you can select from.

Select the “Stop” to turn OFF the “child protection” function.
As a safeguard for your children, you will be asked to provide the
“parental control” password to turn this function OFF.

Enter your password here. And then press OK. If you have NOT set up
your “parental control” password yet, then by default the password is
BLANK.
Leave this field empty and just press OK. You will see a confirmation

"child protection" function.

You will notice the round
RED icon
with the “x” displayed in the systray area, indicating that the BLOCK
feature has been deactivated.

You can now use the computer as if Safe Chat was NOT installed. Please
remember to re-enable this “child protection” function again when you
are done using the computer to continue protecting your child!
To turn this “child protection” function back ON, simply “RIGHT CLICK”
on the
RED round icon, and then select “Start”.
You will see a confirmation screen to let you know that Safe Chat "child
protection" is now ON.

and you will also notice that it will display the round
GREEN
icon.
We believe that Safe Chat is the ONLY software that helps you to protect
your child by PREVENTING them from chatting with unauthorized
individuals.
